Unbreakable is about seeing a friend blinded by love make the same mistake repeatedly. In these kind of situations, you tell them again and again that they’re making a mistake, that they deserve better, that all they’re doing is putting themselves through pain, but that’s all you can do. You can see through all the falseness of this person, the fake apologies and promises to change to the person they really are, but your friend is unable to hear your advice because they’re under a spell. During the recording process, Bo from DisKust was spending a lot of time at Luke’s place and we saw an opportunity for a little feature action. Bo put his own spin on the already written lyrics and took the song to a whole new level.
lyrics
(Woah, Woah) You’re too blind to see
(Woah, Woah) Why won’t you listen to me?
I can see through the disguise and the lies,
It’s not a matter of pride I can see inside his mind tonight.
A wolf in sheep’s clothing, at first glance he’s innocent,
With eyes like arrows aimed at her innocence.
She won’t suspect a thing - He’s harmless,
We all know what he wants regardless,
To hide - It’s obvious.
(Woah, Woah) You’re too blind to see
(Woah, Woah) Why won’t you listen to me?
I can see through the disguise and the lies,
It’s not a matter of pride I can see inside his mind tonight.
Repeating the patterns, you’re so self destructive,
quarantine the heart and soul, is it not worth the pain?
I see you falling again and again (again, again)
I tried to help you out the deep end.
Every single word’s a f*cking lie
A twisted narcissist hellbent on manipulation
It’s not a matter of pride.
It’s not a matter of pride, it’s a matter of time,
and it's not worth the pain.
