Numbered Days is a song about the state of the world, the destruction of our environment and the lack of positive action being taken to remedy the abuse being done to the planet and its people. It references how the actions of the past have doomed the future and the regret associated with the gift of hindsight. This song was originally written for Aaron’s final assessment at Uni but quickly turned into a band favourite and was chosen to be the lead single of the EP. Numbered Days music video was filmed in December by Alex Nelson and Henry Lo.
lyrics
I see the oceans rising,
Consequences of the past,
Nothing lasts forever,
But we should try, we should change.
The world is at it's end,
Goodbye my dear old friend,
See the error in our ways,
We're all on Numbered Days.
What change is being done?
Can you see what we've become?
See the error in our ways,
We're all on Numbered Days.
So f*cking wasteful,
So damn ungrateful,
We held this world in the palm of our hands.
Now it's too late to make to make you understand,
Now it's too late for our final stand,
Now it's too late, it's the final hour,
You can always stand by me.
Stand by my side as we watch the tide (repeat)
The world is at it's end,
Goodbye my dear old friend,
See the error in our ways,
We're all on Numbered Days.
What change is being done?
Can you see what we've become?
See the error in our ways,
We're all on Numbered Days.
We're all on Numbered Days (repeat)
